You may have seen this before but if not, here is a great story of the difference between a teacher and an educator.
A certain private school was recently faced with a unique problem. A number of 12-year old girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the restroom. That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick, they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints. Every night the janitor would clean the lip prints off and the next day the girls would do it again. Finally, the headmistress decided, enough was enough.
She and the janitor met and came up with a plan.
The next day she called all the girls to the restroom to meet with her and the janitor. She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the people that had to clean the mirrors. As she is telling the girls this, there were little yawns from the sweet little princesses. They were most likely thinking, “whatever.”
She asked the janitor to demonstrate how he cleaned the mirrors. The janitor took a long-handled squeegee and dipped it into the toilet and cleaned the mirror with it.
Since then, there have been no lip prints on the mirror. KT
